Simone e Ambra
“Simone and Ambra” is a quiet reflection on expectation, identity, and the fragile thread between mother and daughter.
I interviewed my mother with no script, no filter.
Just the rawness of a moment that had waited years to surface: the first time I asked her to speak of Simone, my twin who was never born.
I sit beside her.
She speaks.
She imagines Simone.
And I still,
silent,
unseen
so different from the child she describes.
Later, the camera turns.
Now I take the chair.
She is gone, but I see her there and say what I wish I had said.
